These days, almost everything around us is plated, not only accessories and electric home appliances but also automobiles and even satellites and rockets. Plating may be considered as merely a decorative process, however, today plating is indispensable in the precision technology of electronics (electronic parts and printed wiring boards). It is a fact that some of the chemicals we use are poisonous and dangerous. That is why we at Meltex are devoted to safe and clean technologies. By successively introducing relevant facilities and equipment, we have been aggressively working on solutions for the environment. For example, chemical manufacturers previously dumped wastewater from the etchant in printed wiring boards into the sea. At Meltex, the wastewater is detoxified and copper sulfate is recovered for use. We are also developing products that are harmless to the environment from the beginning. Our responsibility as a chemical manufacturer is to continue researching more space-saving and efficient recovery methods and promoting recycling that enables us to coexist with the earth.

High Quality from a Strict Control System
Quickly supplying safe and stable products of high quality is one of the requirements of a surface treatment chemicals manufacturer. To satisfy this requirement, Meltex acquired the international quality management certification ISO9001 and is making all-out efforts to uphold this standard. As well, the Production Parts Quality Control Committee was set up to maintain and improve quality control of products. Thus, we are testing and correcting quality-related problems from various angles. In addition, periodic quality audits by internal auditors outside of the Production Department and various other quality checks at production stages are performed in an effort to constantly supply high-quality products.
Expanding and Improving the Production System and Factories to Enable Quick Turn Around
Meltex is proud of its short lead times. We have three production factories in Japan. Each factory uniformly manages products by lot and performs process and final inspections. We are making quick turn around possible through improving productivity and reducing processes as well as carrying out efficient inventory control with no waste.

Meeting Various Customer Needs Quickly and Accurately
With the current remarkable increase in plating uses, the development and supply of products that more precisely meet customer needs is essential. Therefore, Meltex often participates in its customer's planning process, right from the production planning stage. What is highlighted here is Meltex's system, which is the integration of sales, research and development, and production. About 70% of Meltex's sales and technical staff are from science-based universities. The sales staff gains an accurate understanding of the customer's requests and the technical staff then sets research topics based on the requests. Developed products are finally produced under strict control. The close linkage of the three divisions enables the delivery of a high-quality product or service best suited to each customer.
Perfect After-sales Care
Meltex feels that the real work begins after product delivery. We believe that perfecting after-sales care is the way to win customer confidence. Meltex not only stores all product samples and answers inquiries immediately but also continues to check products in use from technical service offices and warehouses located near the customer. This system is designed to prevent problems from occurring. However, if a problem should occur, we will take responsibility and quickly find and solve it.
