Company History

Oct 1960: Japan Metal Finishing Company established in Nihombashi-Honcho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo with capital of 2.5 million yen
Jun 1961: Oji Factory constructed
Mar 1963: Contract for technical aid concluded with Enthone Inc. (USA)
Aug 1968: Contract to have Diamond Shamrock Corp. (later, McGrean-Rohco, Inc.) introduce chrome plating chemical technology concluded
Dec 1963: Omiya Factory completed and transfer made from Oji Factory
Apr 1970: Japan Ronal established with 50% of capital invested by LeaRonal Inc. (USA)
Feb 1972: Three-party contract of mutual technical aid concluded with Japan Ronal Inc. and LeaRonal Inc.
Feb 1973: JMF (Hong Kong) Ltd. (presently, Meltex (H.K.) Ltd.) established from Hong Kong Office
Jan 1985: Kumagaya Factory completed
Apr 1986: Japan Metal Finishing Company renamed Meltex Inc.; capital increased to \300 million
Dec 1986: Stock registered at Securities Dealers Association of Japan as an over-the-counter issue for public offering
Feb 1988: Capital increased to \933.6 million by public subscription
May 1990: Research laboratory for Japan Ronal Inc. completed
Jun 1990: Japan Ronal Inc. renamed Japan LeaRonal Inc.
Oct 1990: Capital invested in Enthone-OMI (Singapore); contract of technical aid concluded
Jun 1991: Tomakomai Factory completed
May 1993: President Kawashima awarded Blue Ribbon Medal
Oct 1993: Tokai Meltex Inc. becomes subsidiary
Oct 1994: Meltex Taiwan Inc. established
Jul 1996: New technological laboratory completed in Omiya City
Apr 1998: ISO9001 certification acquired
May 1998: New warehouse completed in Kumagaya Factory
Sep 1999: Head office transferred to Higashi-Nihombashi, Chuo-ku
Jul 2001: Control building newly constructed in Omiya Factory
Oct 2001: ISO9001 certification changed to 2000 version
May 2002: ISO14001 certification acquired
Apr 2005: Acquire it and subsidize stocks of Tokyo Kakoki Co.,Ltd.
May 2007: New distribution center completed in Saitama City
  Business headquarters transferred to Saitama City
